As a former U.S. Army Green Beret, Silver Star and Purple Heart recipient, and former captain of the UCLA football team, Dan brings incredible energy, leadership, and compassion to his role as Director of Mission43. Dan has led Mission43 since 2021, and strives to provide veterans and their spouses opportunities to lead, connect, and find purpose. Dan is passionate about empowering transitioning military veterans and helping them lead a more meaningful civilian life. He is a proud husband and father of two boys, an adventure seeker, and considers himself a curious, lifelong learner.

Alison brings a breadth of experience to the Foundation in her role as Program Coordinator, where she will build the new Education Pillar and work to create meaningful educational opportunities for Mission43 members. With experience in the Air Force, coupled with her professional background in nonprofit management, corporate training and policy development, and education advising, Alison is poised to make a lasting impact in her role with Mission43. She believes that members of the military community are ideal community leaders, and that quality education is both accessible and available to help them reach their full potential. Alison is an expert resource, leader, and advocate for Idaho military families in pursuit of continuing education. In her spare time, you can find her enjoying the great Idaho outdoors with her “fluff children” and husband.

Zach is the Idaho Program Manager at Hire Heroes USA and Employment Director at Mission43. He is a Marine Corps Veteran and joined Hire Heroes USA as a Transition Specialist in 2019.

After Zach exited the Marine Corps, he was not sure where he belonged or what he should be doing. He signed up for Hire Heroes USA’s services took the advice of his Transition Specialist and did his best to refine his resume and network any chance that he got. That is how he obtained his current position. The program that he now manages has helped more than 1,000 people find meaningful employment.

Zach resides in Idaho with his wife and two daughters. When he is not at a soccer game, volleyball game, or gymnastics practice, he enjoys golfing and watching football.

Chad serves as a dependable Program Coordinator responsible for planning and implementing community events at Mission43. These events are designed to empower veterans and their families during their transition to civilian life in Idaho. With a background as a U.S. Navy Operation Specialist and Navy Counselor, Chad made Idaho his family’s permanent home after serving as a Navy Recruiter here. His commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others is evident in his passion for community engagement and programming that fosters meaningful relationships and adventurous experiences. For Chad, the outdoors is a source of joy, and he considers it his “happy place.” Outside of his professional responsibilities, he indulges in activities such as hiking, running, and mountain biking.

Nick Johnson is the Idaho Program Coordinator at Hire Heroes USA. Nick comes to us after exiting the US Army after 12 years of both active duty and National Guard time. Nick spent his time as an Infantryman having served with units in North Carolina, Alaska, and Idaho. Nick and his wife reside in the Boise, ID area and have 3 school-aged children that keep them busy with numerous sports and activities. Nick’s wife is a Marine Corps veteran, as well! Nick is a graduate of Boise State University and we are very fortunate to have him on the team.

Dan is passionate about empowering transitioning military veterans and helping them lead a more meaningful civilian life. He is a proud husband and father of two boys, an adventure seeker, and a curious, lifelong learner.

Brad is a dedicated and talented Program Coordinator and is responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of the Engagement and Operation Resilient Path (ORP) programs of Mission43. Brad served in the U.S. Army in the 75th Ranger Regiment as an infantryman, who deployed four times to Iraq and Afghanistan. Prior to joining the Foundation, Brad served as the Director of Marketing for QDM Inc. in Boise. Brad deeply understands the issues for veterans transitioning from military service to civilian life and is a tremendous asset to the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation and Mission43.
